Part of the money will go to building two new manufacturing and bottling plants.

Coca-Cola brought in R$ 15 billion from its Brazil operations in 2008, 25% more than its 2007 revenues. The company’s sales volume rose 7% last year, greater than the company’s average growth in markets worldwide, Estado reported.

The company’s local chief executive, Xiemar Zarazua, said the global credit crisis hasn’t impacted Coca-Cola in Brazil.

“We are very confident in our long-term planning and in the Brazilian market,” Zarazua told Estado during his first press conference on Thursday.
